ROBERT REDFORD | 84

Robert Redford has spent decades in the movie industry as a director, actor, producer, and businessman. The career of Redford started to emerge in the 1950s in New York City, where most actors found work in both television and the stage. His debut on Broadway was in Tall Story in 1959, though he had a small part in it. This was followed by Sunday in New York in 1961.

Redford recently announced his decision to retire from the industry, much to the sadness of the fans who have followed him throughout the years. The announcement was made following the release of his newest movie, The Old Man and The Gun. Redford is also the founder of the Sundance Film Festival. It is just one of his investments that helped him establish, not just his legacy, but also the future of independent cinema. We certainly laud him for his contributions to the industry as a whole.
