While many people today remember Monica Lewinsky for her role in the high-profile controversy, she has carved out a successful career in retail, advertising, and, most recently, social campaigning. She took part in the #MeToo campaign on Twitter along with hundreds of other women.

Lewinsky’s odd life trajectory has taken her down a few job options in the years following the incident. In 1999, she launched a handbag brand and took a job as a spokeswoman for Jenny Craig, a weight-loss firm. Lewinsky also made multiple television appearances, including hosting a Fox dating show, Mr. Personality. She eventually could not cope with the media frenzy and found it extremely difficult to maintain a private life in America. As a result, she relocated to London, where she earned a psychology degree from the London School of Economics. Lewinsky has converted herself into a champion for women as well as a defender of her reputation. Her advocacy and influence are still growing, but now on her terms.
