Magic Johnson & Cookie Johnson – 29 Years

Basketball enthusiasts will never forget the one and only Magic Johnson. Born Earvin Johnson Jr. on August 14, 1959, Magic drew inspiration from former New York Knicks player Earl Monroe and fell in love with basketball at an early age. He joined his high school basketball team and scored a record-breaking 18 rebounds, 16 assists, and 36 points. We won’t be surprised if he didn’t need student loans for his college education! It was also this record that earned him the nickname “Magic”, due to his exceptional basketball skills at only age 15. The Los Angeles Lakers drafted him in 1979, and the rest is history.

In 1991, Magic tied the knot with Earlitha “Cookie” Kelly in a small ceremony in Lansing, Michigan. They have a son, Earvin III (EJ), a celebrity who appeared on Rich Kids of Beverly Hills. Magic and his wife also adopted another child, a girl named Elisa, in 1995.
